    I’m eating about 1800 calories a day high protein diet. I also walk 1-5 miles a day, lift every muscle group 2x a week until failure. I don’t know what my bmr really is and heard it’s almost impossible to figure that out. I’m obese 5,7 205 pounds. I’ve lost weight before but I’d like to lose only fat and build muscle sustainably. Should I eat more food?

    It's very interesting. I've starting to cycle a lot more. I usually do HIT with my cardio, but my legs were never to the the point of soreness. I usually do cardio 4-5 times a day. Usually, when I do HIT workouts it's usually only around 30 mins. I don't peddle for an hour or so. I'll still keep this mind, because I'm getting so good at cycling that I may be motivated to push myself harder, but now knowing this info I can just stick to what I've been doing. When it comes to lifting my job is manual labor and I work my arms all day. Lol So, I just focus on my lower body. Thanks Coach!!!

    In a chemistry experiment, the laws of thermodynamics apply, but 1 calorie of soda versus 1 calorie of broccoli does not store or process the same. The point, just eat whole foods and complete nutrients without all the extra junk.

    Literally going out for a walk or moving/walking/being active more is classed as cardio. I can understand people disliking doing cardio activity such as running, biking, swimming etc An example Instead of going in the car to the local shops, walk it instead.

    Why don't people discuss how cardio help supplie the muscles with nutrients and oxygen? Also how it expands the capillaries allowing more the nutrients and oxygen to transform more efficiently. It's not just about burning calories.

    Coach Greg can you do a video talking more about this "nutrient partitioning"?? Like you mentioned that cardio actually improves that - how does it?? Can you do a video on how cardio, and Exercise generally, improves nutrient partitioning? And what else can we do naturally to improve nutrient partitioning? And how can we use that to improve body composition (and even health). (As I understand it PED's can improve partitioning too - is that true?). Looking forward to a video on this Coach.

    Bulking is about carbs and protein, mainly carbs. Protein is good at making you feel satiated, while not adding to much to your calorie total. This is why more protein when cutting works. If you do HIIT you will burn calories faster, but you're using glucose as the source of fuel.

    This is stupid. I have to disagree with this video. I never do cardio and cut at about a 600-700 calorie deficit and my lifts always increase. How do you explain that then? Cutting at a couple hundred calories? I’m not trying to spend a year in a deficit, are you kidding? No bodybuilder on earth does that. Just because Greg is 5’4, his maintenance calories are very low. It works differently when you’re 6’5 and naturally very lean. I have a hard time eating enough, even when I’m cutting.

    So Greg, my job is essentially low intensity cardio.. I walk 6 hours a day 5 days a week. Is this ineffective to lose weight because after 6 years I'm used to it? I need calories to function, I wouldn't get through my day otherwise, is HIIT my best option?

    Currently 6 ft, 225-230 pounds, and eating 1600 cals daily with a cheat day on Sunday. Occasionally some weeks I even eat less than 1000 cals daily with that big sunday cheat day. I lost ~55 lbs in less than 4 months. I also work out 5 times at least for 130 minutes a week. I feel pretty good the route im going and my body 100% is in the best condition of my life. Also before its asked yes I always hit my 230+ protein with 1000 or 1600 cal days. Any advice?

    Hey I'm new here got a genuine question its mondane but im curious haha , recently started watching Greg & Will and found the delt lord a littlw while before them. I saw Greg's response to videos on more plates more dates and saw his voice was high pitched didn't think much of it moved on then saw greg on wills chanel - where his making the french toast at wills (looks super good!!! 😄) ...and his voice was wayyyy different! is greg putting on a voice for these kinda videos or does his voice get high pittched p.s thank you to 3 for the great educational content and humour in the videos, seriously! you all put out really motivating content and it's all getting me back to the grind again !

    I'll always opt for more cardio vs cutting food. Eventually, you will have to do both, but if you increase cardio first, you can keep your food intake for a higher period of time...

    Intermitent fasting is my best friend. Only 1 nice meal a day is way more than enough for all my needs. The rest is just brain weakness asking for sugary treats. I tell it to shut up. Next day I feel great about my choice.

    Can you address how transition or changing your routine temporarily helps. Like if your if your in a very slow “bulk”.. is there benefit in temporarily (like a week) significantly changing the calories in at the transition before moving to a lose weight slower then the last time routine

    People become readers when shopping try to buy low fat high protein and try to have at least 1 gram of protein a day. By the time you have two meals some protein pancakes 2 smoothies and some protein bars you should be there. Alternate and become readers
